Boats are allowed on this lake, but a speed limit of 30 miles per hour is enforced.

Bangs Lake only reaches a depth of 32 feet at its deepest point, making it an excellent spot for freshwater fishing. When fishing, anglers can expect to catch a variety of fish including bluegill, channel catfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, white crappie, yellow bullhead, yellow perch, and carp.
